The belt dryer with integrated separator allows for dry matter contents of up to 85 %. All nutrients in the valuable commercial fertiliser are preserved. Another advantage: the system is very energy-efficient as the pigs are themselves creating the thermal drying energy.

In a first process step, the slurry is separated and transferred to the belt dryer. As soon as it has reached a certain dry matter content, the solid phase is mixed again with the liquid phase. This is done by spraying onto the drying belt. At the end of the procedure, the dry matter content has reached a maximum 85 %. The nutrients in the slurry are preserved as the liquid phase is mixed again, with the water evaporated.

The pleasing result: Significantly less slurry has to be stored or distributed. Moreover, the dried phase can be pelletised or granulated in a downstream procedure. This means added value for the farmer.

The OptiSec comprises technology already proven in poultry production. For many years, manure drying tunnels from the German equipment supplier are working successfully in layer management all over Europe.
