"MixPump proportions the feed without making it necessary to use a mix tank, agitator and weighing system - and all this continuously, fully automatic and in one process" explains product manager, Norbert Bärlein about the new Big Dutchman system.

Liquid feeding 'light' with MixPump

The company says that this simple liquid feeding system works by means of a two-stage proportioning pump which mixes liquid and dry components together and transports them directly to the pigs. In a first mixing stage, feed is premixed with water and then transferred to the second stage with increased pressure. This makes for thorough mixing of the gruel. If only one component is used, the second stage is unnecessary.

The feeding process is very rapid which saves labour and energy. MixPump works without a computer and consists of only few parts. This liquid feeding system is therefore very easy to use and investment and maintenance costs are reduced to a minimum. Thanks to its compact design, MixPump is ideally suited for small rooms.

Big Dutchman says the patent is pending.
