Manitoba Detects 10th PED Case
CANADA - A 10th outbreak of Porcine Epidemic Diarrhoea (PED) has been reported in Manitoba, Canada.

By: This new outbreak was reported on 21 September at a finisher farm in southeast Manitoba.
This farm is within 5 km of the sow farm that was confirmed positive for PED the other week.
The producer is now working with their veterinarian and Manitoba's Chief Veterinary Office (CVO) to biocontain the site and make plans for animal care and site clean-up.
All farms within 5 km of the farm have been notified and all are being tested, as well as any farms that have been in contact with the positive farm.
