One pig death has occurred although no animals have been destroyed due to the disease meaning a mortality rate of 37.5 per cent.

Measures employed to help control the outbreak have so far been control of wildlife reservoirs, movement control inside the country, screening and zoning as vaccination is prohibited. A measure yet to go ahead is the disinfection of infected premises.
