Prices of both live swine and pork meat cuts registered distinct trends in late January among regions surveyed by Cepea, according to a recent market report

As for increases, values were boosted by the demand increase from the industry for new animal batches. This scenario has been observed in the independent markets of Goiás and Paraná states.

Price drops, on the other hand, were verified due to the low demand, since the purchase power is currently reduced.

According to data from Secex, the daily average of in natura pork meat exports this month (17 producing days) is at 4.4 thousand tons, for a decrease of 3.2% against that verified in the last month of 2024.

In case this pace continues, shipments are likely to total 95.8 thousand tons.
