Australia reinstates an external watchdog after an independent review of the federal Department of Agriculture highlights its failure to regulate the live export industry

When reports emerged detailing the deaths of thousands of animal during live exportation out of Australia, federal agriculture minister, David Littleproud, slammed live exports and sought to correct this shocking oversight of animal welfare.
