Gary Robertson, CEVA Swine Business Director in North America, talks with ThePigSite's Sarah Mikesell about CEVA's entry in the North American animal health industry at the CEVA veterinarian symposium held just ahead of the American Association of Swine Veterinarians (AASV) annual meeting.

"CEVA has been working behind the scenes for four to five years on an R&D pipeline of products, and we have also been having numerous meetings and customer interactions to better understand what the unmet needs are in the marketplace," said Gary Robertson, CEVA Swine Business Director for North America.

Taking that information back to their R&D team, CEVA is now close to introducing some new and novel vaccines, pharma products and health intervention tools for producers and veterinarians.

"One thing veterinarians have told us is they need the ability to be extremely responsive," Robertson said. "We are going to have a custom vaccine portion of our business that really allows us to aggressively and quickly address unmet needs for certain diseases through vaccines."

He said their entry into North America is a different type of approach.

"When you are a company that is out starting from scratch, we are going to fight. We are going to work hard. We are going to earn your trust," Robertson said.
