Dale Kenne, Midwest Sales Manager for Hog Slat, said Hog Slat offers turnkey construction for new facilities. He said they also provide facility upgrades, including equipment replacements or redesigning a facility when there's a change in production systems or management practices.

"There's a lot of talk about open pen gestation. We have a lot of experience going into facilities that need to replace a traditional gestation stall and helping the customer best utilize his facility," Kenne said.

"Being a manufacturer of products, [Hog Slat can] bring him something that we've designed for other people in the same position and slightly customize it to make the best use of the square footage he has available or his production facility."
