More ASF Reported in Lithuania

LITHUANIA - A new outbreak of African Swine Fever (ASF) has been reported in wild boar.

One wild boar (1 year, male) was hunted in in Utena county, Zarasai district municipality, Zarasai parish, and samples were delivered on 12 March to the National Food and Veterinary Risk Assessment Institute in the framework of national African Swine Fever control program.

On 13 March ASF was confirmed by real-time PCR from organ and blood samples.
