IPPE Offers Free Attendee Activities, Networking Opportunities

US - The 2015 International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) will provide a variety of free activities and networking opportunities for attendees, say the organisers.

A Poultry History Museum will be open in the C-Building lobby from Tuesday 27 January 2015 to Thursday 29 January 2015. Go back to the beginnings of the American poultry industry and follow how the industry became the world's large producer of poultry products. Watch one of the area’s best egg carvers display his creations and discuss how the process is done in the Egg and Art area in the C-Building lobby.

A Poultry Breed Art History Display will be available for viewing in the C-Building lobby from Tuesday to Thursday. Attendees are encouraged to stop by and vote for their favourite breed print.

The 'Chew on This' Display, which addresses food insecurity, will also be available for viewing in Booth A3321 from Tuesday to Thursday.

The documentary, 'Farmland', will be shown in the C-Building, C-102 Auditorium on Tuesday and Wednesday. The documentary takes an intimate look at the lives of farmers and ranchers in their 20s, all of whom are now responsible for running their farming business.

The annual International Networking Reception will again be held on Tuesday evening at the Georgia Aquarium.

The 3rd Annual Chili Cook-off is also back again and will be held on Tuesday in Booth B8375. Attendees can vote for their favourite chili, and one chef will be awarded the 'Best Atlanta Chili' plaque.

IPPE will also host its second Hot Wings Contest in the B-Building, Meat Me in @LANTA ring on Wednesday, and attendees are invited to see if they can stand the heat.

Domino Art will be set up in the C-Building lobby on Wednesday. Throughout the day, follow the progress of an art rendering in dominos. At the end of the day, IPPE will set the dominos in motion.

There will also be a Chicken Ice Carving demonstration on Tuesday in the C-Building lobby, and a Cow Ice Carving will be professionally sculpted in the B-Building lobby on Wednesday as well.

Student essays and drawings from Hall County Elementary will also be on display in the C-Building lobby from Tuesday through Thursday. Students were asked to write about “Which Came First and Why: The Chicken or the Egg?” and the top four essays were awarded ribbons.

Students were also asked to draw the “Prettiest Turkey” and the top four drawings were awarded ribbons.

The 2015 IPPE, the world's largest annual poultry, feed and meat industry trade show, will be held from 27 to 29 January 2015 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
