Delivering Sustainable Intensification for the Future
UK - 'Farming for the future - delivering sustainable intensification' is the theme of this year’s National Farm Management Conference to be staged in London on Wednesday 26 November.A comprehensive range of topics will come under the microscope in three parts led by an inspiring line-up of speakers featuring a mix of farm managers, farmers and industry influencers scheduled by event organiser, the Institute of Agricultural Management (IAgrM).
How the farming and food sector is scheduled to change will be explored by HSBC’s Mark Berrisford-Smith; FSA chairman, Tim Bennett and RAU principal, Prof Chris Gaskell.
Farm management delivering tomorrow’s food and fuel will be discussed by Jake Freestone of Overbury Farms, Midland Pig Producers' James Leavesley, Professor Judith Capper of Washington State University and Future Gas’ Philip Lukas.
Future managers and future farmland values will be assessed by NFU deputy president, Minette Batters and Craigmore Farming Investment Group’s Nick Tapp, whilst the event will be wrapped up by Andrew Blenkiron discussing Euston Estate’s take on sustainable intensification.
Finally AHDB chairman, Peter Kendall will introduce some industry crystal ball gazing prior to the evening reception.
