Nicaragua Looks to Push Domestic Pork into International Markets
NICARAGUA - The Nicaraguan government has suggested development of pork production and the pork industry in order to expand in international markets, after assuming management of the Rivas Pig Farm, led by a China-Taiwan mission."The great task is to increase production to expand into international markets with healthy pork products," said Ariel Bucardo, head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAGFOR).
Mr Bucardo said that Nicaragua has been declared free of classical swine fever and this is encouraging farmers to export to international markets.
