Lebanese Ministry Spending $2.66M Yearly on Livestock Health
LEBANON - Caretaker Agriculture Minister Hussein Hajj Hasan said that his ministry was spending around LL4 billion ($2.66 million) a year to secure the necessary vaccinations, veterinary medications and antiseptics to keep Lebanon’s livestock healthy.“We have worked successfully on controlling the diseases that plague the livestock sector in Lebanon,” he said during the launch of a project to vaccinate livestock on the Syrian-Lebanese border.
According to TheDailyStar, the project is funded by the British government and implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.
