Production Costs for Broilers and Pigs Soar in August
BRAZIL - According to data provided by, production costs for pigs and broiler chickens rose 0.41 per cent and 7.9 per cent respectively in August, compared to the previous month, reaching 159.53 and 164.54 points.

The increase in production cost of day-old chicks was up by 6.19 per cent, followed by increases of 0.97 per cent in nutrition and 0.45 per cent in manpower. However, in the last 12 months since September 2012, a fall of 9.35 per cent and -12.89 per cent has been accumulated.
