By farm class, this figure breaks down as follows since the week of 15 April: suckling, 32; nursery, 38; grower/finisher, 201; sows/boars, 83 and 68 unknown. The total is up 31 from a week ago.

Since the start of reporting, a total of 16 states are known to have been affected; no new states have reported cases in the last week. Those states with 10 or more positive tests are: Iowa, 154; Oklahoma, 102; Minnesota, 39; Kansas, 35; Indiana, 20; North Carolina, 18; Colorado, 14 and Ohio, 12. All these states added at least one positive result in the last week; Oklahoma had the biggest increase, with 16 new cases.

In mid-June, the reporting system was adjusted. For the weeks prior to 16 June, laboratories were able to provide diagnostic case submissions and number of premises testing positive for PEDv.

Since the week of 16 June, the total number of swine samples testing positive is 926, up from 813 the previous week. The most-affected states are: Oklahoma, 331; Kansas, 211; North Carolina, 125; Iowa, 94; Ohio, 50; Minnesota, 46 and Colorado, 28. Other states, where positive, reported fewer than 20 positives.

In the most recent week reported (week of 28 July), the following states reported one or more positive results: Colorado (4), Iowa (15), Illinois (6), Indiana (1), Kansas (50), Minnesota (9), North Carolina (5), Ohio (1) and Oklahoma (22).
