By farm class, this figure breaks down as follows since the week of 15 April: suckling, 25; nursery, 32; grower/finisher, 192; sows/boars, 78 and 61 unknown. The total is up 25 from a week ago.

Since the start of reporting, a total of 16 states are known to have been affected, with Tennessee and Texas reporting their first positive results in the last week. Those states with 10 or more positive tests are: Iowa, 149; Oklahoma, 94; Minnesota, 36; Kansas, 26; Indiana, 19; North Carolina, 16; Colorado, 13 and Ohio, 11.

In mid-June, the reporting system was adjusted. For the weeks prior to 16 June, laboratories were able to provide diagnostic case submissions and number of premises testing positive for PEDv.

Since the week of 16 June, the total number of swine samples testing positive is 813. The most-affected states are: Oklahoma, 315; Kansas, 155; North Carolina, 120; Iowa, 79; Ohio, 49; Minnesota, 37 and Colorado, 24. Other states, where positive, reported fewer than 20 positives.

In the most recent week reported (week of 21 July), the following states reported one or more positive results: Colorado (6), Iowa (10), Indiana (4), Kansas (36), North Carolina (42), Oklahoma (12), Tennessee (5) and Texas (2).
