UK - Karro Food, British supplier of pork products to wholesale and supermarkets, has announced plans to close its slaughter and butchery operations in Somerset.

By: The closure of the plant in Wiveliscombe will see the loss of 113 jobs .
The company claims that the site is not profitable in the long run.
Karro Foods has entered into consultations with employees and trade union representatives.
The consultation process will come to an end on 9 September.
