Organisation Gets Recognition for Cooperative Work
ETHIOPIA – Economic development organisation ACDI/VOCA has received recognition from the national government for its efforts to develop agricultural cooperatives.

Berhanu Asfaw, who received the gold cup, has been working on co-op building programmes since 1999.
Work carried out by the organisation includes coffee growing programmes and the Agricultural Cooperatives in Ethiopia (ACE) programme.
Current efforts are being put into the Cooperative Development Programme which is helping farm cooperative members to ensure food security in the region.
