OIE: Classical Swine Fever Reported in Wild Boar

LATVIA - An outbreak of classical swine fever has been reported to the OIE by Dr Maris Balodis, Chief Veterinary Officer and Director General, Food and Veterinary Service, Ministry of Agriculture, Latvia.

The outbreak was reported in Berzinu parish, Dagda county, towards the border with Belarus.

At the site, two wild boar were identified as having the disease. As of yet, there have been no deaths reported.

The source of the outbreak is unknown.
