French Prime Minister Demands Reform Satisfaction
FRANCE - The French Prime minister, Jean-Marc Ayrault has called for a successful European Policy reform but stresses French interests must be satisfied.As part of the preparation of the European Council on 22 and 23 November 2012, the President of the European Council circulated a summary of the annual financial framework meeting to member states.
The French government warns that this project not necessarily an acceptable basis for negotiation with France on the proposed spending cap for the common agricultural policy in its various dimensions.
The prime minister stated the economic importance of French agirbusiness and that the Common Agricultural Policy reform must meet the needs of French agriculture. Reform is vital as it plays a crucial role in the growth, employment and the balance of external trade between in France.
During the next European Council, he said France is ready to work constructively in search of a global agreement. It will require a budget to support growth to maintain a high level of structural funds.
