Novgorod Bacon Ltd. (a new 5,000 sow complex) started first farrowings in August 2011. They are very pleased with the production performance to date, they currently produce 14 total born piglets, 13.2 born alive.

Novgorod Bacon is the leading meat producer in the Novgorod Region. Originally, Hermitage supplied 5,000 pigs to Novgorod Bacon in first half of 2011 and their breeding programme is managed by Hermitage and directly linked to the Hermitage PigBLUP Exchange in Ireland. The Hermitage team provides comprehensive technical, genetic and management support to Novogorod Bacon who are very happy with the cooperation and considers Hermitage as their genetic partner for their planned future projects and expansion in the region.
