USDA Forecasts Sharply Reduced Corn, Soybean Crops

US - The Agriculture Department’s first survey-based measure of crop yield potential for 2012 lowered production forecasts for both corn and soybeans dramatically, due to the continuing drought. Economists with the American Farm Bureau Federation said the report is a harbinger of volatility in global grain markets.
