SAGARPA Boosts Ag Development
MEXICO - The Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food (SAGARPA) has delivered 2,632 million pesos to the 31 entities and the Federal Districts to promote programmes aimed at strengthening the agricultural sector.
The General Coordination of delegations reported that SAGARPA has delivered around 59 per cent of the budget for this year.
In Baja California, Guanajuato, Guerrero, Hidalgo and Mexico State, 100 per cent of the budget has been delivered, which totals 603 million pesos.
Among the states which have more resources are Chiapas with 193.8 million pesos, Veracruz, 165.9 million; Oaxaca, 135.1 million, Puebla, 105.1 million, Jalisco, 116.9 million; Sonora, 97.4 million; Michoacán, 69.5 million; Sinaloa, 65.3 million and Durango, 60.5 million pesos.
