More ASF Outbreaks in Tver, Kuban Regions
RUSSIA - More outbreaks of African Swine Fever (ASF) have been reported by the Russian Veterinary Service.An outbreak of ASF was confirmed in the village of Mishutin, Torzhok district, Tver region, which is not far from Moscow in the west of Russia.
In the Kuban region, which is in the south of the country between the Sea of Azov and the Caspian Sea, ASF was confirmed in pigs that died in the LLC pig company.
At the time of the outbreak, the farm contained 13,753 pigs of different age groups.
The surrounding area contains more than 23,000 pigs, of which about 4,000 are in private farms.
In both regions, steps have been taken to contain and prevent further spread of infection.
