The Hermitage technical support team has just arrived back from LLC AltayMyasoProm which is set to become one of the biggest meat producers in Western Siberia.

The management team were particularly happy to report that sows are milking very well and the weaning weight at 28 days is about 9 kg. Piglets are healthy and are eating very well.

The last shipment of 1,000 high health breeding gilts for the first unit was delivered during May. LLC AltayMyasoProm will also commence construction of the second unit this Summer and have already requested Hermitage Genetics to supply a further 5,700 high health breeding pigs.

Boris Panov, General Director, says, “We are very happy that we bought pigs from Hermitage Genetics and we are going to continue working together to ensure that we fully realise the potential of the genetics."
