Emergency Measures Set up against ASF
RUSSIA - In order to eliminate African Swine Fever (ASF) in the Tver region in the west of the country, emergency measures are to be taken.

By: A state of ASF emergency was imposed on the Tver region hunting grounds, situated within the boundaries Bologovsky, Vyshnevolotsk, Kalinin and Torzhok areas.
The emergency action will involve the establishment of mobile stations on roads leading into Bologovsky, Vyshnevolockij, Kalinin and Torzhokskiy, in order to prevent the transportation of illegally obtained wild boar.
There is also a plan for the depopulation of wild boars in the region.
Samples of pathological material taken from two wild boars in the region on the 26 March also tested positive for African swine fever.
