New Outbreak of ASF in the Republic of Kalmykia

RUSSIA - Studies of two dead pigs from a private farm in the Republic of Kalmykia have confirmed African Swine Fever (ASF).

The pigs died on a farm in the village of Upper Yashkul Virgin district of the Republic of Kalmykia, which is in the south of the country and borders the Caspian Sea.

A five–kilometre zone has been set up around the outbreak where roughly 100 pigs are susceptible.
