Boars Test Positive for ASF in Volgograd Region

RUSSIA - According to Rosselkhoznadzor, the study of samples of pathological material selected from eight boars who died in the hunting territory "Zamurovskoe", in the Volgograd region, revealed the genetic material of African swine fever virus.

The samples of pathological material sent to the SSI "VNIIVViM" (Mr. Veil, Vladimir region) to confirm the diagnosis.

Currently, measures are being taken, in accordance with "Regulations on measures to prevent and eliminate African swine fever", to prepare a draft resolution on hunting restrictions in the Volgograd region.
