RUSSIA - Genetic material of ASF virus was detected in samples of pathological material collected from swine owned by the agricultural production cooperative society "Znamya Lenina" of Scherbinovsky rayon, Krasnodar Krai, by the Kropotkinskaya Krai Veterinary Laboratory.

Restrictive measures aimed at infection localization and prevention of further spread were taken in respect of agricultural production cooperative society "Znamya Lenina" of Scherbinovsky rayon, Krasnodar Krai and slaughter house "Kooperativ" of Abinsky rayon, where infected swine were found.
Specialists from the Federal Centre for Animal Health the All-Russia Scientific and Research Institute of Veterinary Virology and Microbiology were sent to Krasnodar Krai.
