Shops Close Down Due to Illegal Sale of Pork, Beef

TAMIL NADU, INDIA - Corporation health officials yesterday closed down seven shops which were found selling beef and pork without obtaining any requisite license.

About 500 kg of beef and pork found in these shops were seized. A van used for selling beef and pork at the doorsteps was impounded.

The Hindu reports that all the meat seized was later buried in pits after applying disinfectants.
