In most of the member countries, the quotations remain unchanged for the most part. The European price history is mostly influenced by the stable situation as to prices in Germany. With regard to the Dutch quotation one sees that the increased price gap is kept towards Germany.

The situation is regarded to be more positive in France and Spain, where the quotations go up slightly as a result of supply going down a bit. In Great Britain the pigs-mature-for-slaughter price remained unchanged, but as for exchange-rate reasons it went up to standard upon correction. Prices in Denmark gave in noticeably, ranking last in the European price structure.

Trend: The market situation is expected to continue to be stable over Europe next week. Only if the meat business gets stimulated again or export restarts are prices likely to increase.
