The Pork Quality Assurance Plus program was launched during the summer, and US pork producers are being encouraged to learn about the program and how it fits in their pork production systems, their businesses and their future.

"The fact sheet is designed to alleviate confusion as producers make a transition from former programs to PQA Plus," said Colin Johnson, Iowa State University Extension program specialist.

The fact sheet uses a simple question-and-answer format that helps producers find answers to frequently asked questions.

The single-page document is a co-operative venture between the Iowa Pork Industry Centre and Iowa Pork Producers Association and is available to download at the IPIC website.
