Boehringer Ingelheim Announces Swine Division Additions

US - Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc., (BIVI) swine division announces the following additions to its U.S. swine team.

Thomas J. Fangman, DVM, has joined the BIVI swine division as a professional services veterinarian. Dr. Fangman, who earned his bachelor of science and DVM degrees from Kansas State University and his master of science degree from the University of Missouri, has spent the last decade providing technical support and outreach to the Missouri swine industry.

In addition, Fangman has been and continues to be very active in numerous professional and animal health organizations. He currently serves on the American Association of Swine Veterinarians executive board as the District III representative and serves on the Swine Health Advisory Committee for the Missouri Department of Agriculture. He is also the president of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners.

"Tom's experience in teaching and Extension services will be a tremendous asset to Boehringer Ingelheim as well as a resource to our customers," says Tyler Holck, DVM, associate director, Swine Professional Services.

Dennis Swalheim has joined the BIVI swine division as sales representative, responsible for the Wisconsin and Illinois sales region territory. He joins BIVI with more than 20 years of sales experience in the animal health & nutrition industry. Swalheim will reside in De Forest, Wis.

Brad Gulker has also joined the BIVI swine division as sales representative, responsible for the northwest Iowa sales territory. Gulker comes to BIVI with over seven years of combined sales experience in human health care. He will reside in Inwood, Iowa.

"The addition of Dennis and Brad to our sales team further supports our already strong U.S. sales efforts in serving swine producers and veterinarians," says Dave Gocken, national sales manager.
