CHINA - The Chinese government has taken various measures to check growing pork prices, which have jumped rapidly since last month. A wide range of measures have helped to bring some stability to the prices.

Since May, the government has been pushing farmers to raise more pigs, and urging pig sellers to reduce their stocks. All this, in a bid to ensure a constant pork supply.

Meanwhile, the National Development and Reform Commission is keeping a close eye on prices of pork and other necessities.
