Nationwide survey offers 3100 prize
UK - Professor John Moverley, chief executive of the Royal Agricultural Society of England is asking UK pig farmers and its suppliers to participate in a nationwide industry consultation. Entrants could also win 3100 of meat vouchers.
The organisation has posted two questionnaires on its website, one for farmers, farm staff, academics and press, the other for those who work for the supply trade as buyers. It is asking everyone involved in agriculture to share their views - practically and politically.
The objective is to help RASE fine tune its activities to meet the needs of the changing agricultural and rural sector.
The consultation will close on 6 June and some of the survey findings will be published at the Royal Show, 1-4 July 2007.
Everyone who completes the survey will be entered into a prize draw to win £100 to spend with Aubrey Allen, a Warwickshire butcher who is supporting the project.
