The brochure is called "Nutritious Recipes for Healthy Living" and there are six recipes in the book as well some nutrition tips and they're using a variety of pork cuts.
We have roasts, tenderloins, cubes, strips as well as ground pork and the recipes all are analyzed for core nutrients as well as sodium, potassium and fibre so that there's nutrition information for those people who are looking for that at the end of every recipe.
Pork is a healthy choice and we get a lot of nutrients from pork.
Pork is filled with high quality protein.
We have six B vitamins in pork, B1, B2, B3, B6, B12 and pantothenic acid, they're all essential B vitamins, four important minerals, phosphorus, magnesium, zinc and iron.
The recipes are a variety of flavors with a bit of an ethnic bent to it .
We have some Asian recipes, Jamaican, Korean, as well as a more traditional pork loin with fruit and a dijon coating so they're all quite different and using a variety of different pork cuts.
The brochure is being distributed in Manitoba through participating retail outlets until the end of this month while, in Saskatchewan the brochures are being distributed as an insert in a number of newspapers.
