Pig Science Conference set for July 2007 The three previous conferences have all had a word beginning with P (other than Pig)!

  • Principles of Pig Science (1993)
  • Progress in Pig Science (1997)
  • Perspectives in Pig Science (2002).

Although the name changes, the format of the meetings remains the same.

These meetings gather together eminent pig scientists from all over the World who present key reviews on topical issues of the day. The emphasis is on science into practice, so the conference is a great example of Technology Transfer.

We are planning papers on Nutrition, Health, Reproduction, Meat Quality and Marketing. There should therefore be something of interest for everyone.

The next one will be:

Paradigms in Pig Science:
Recent developments in pig science and their application
July 3rd - 6th 2007
at:
University of Nottingham, Sutton Bonington Campus

The conference is being organised by:
  • Prof Julian Wiseman (Nottingham, School of Biosciences, UK)
Dr Steve McOrist (Nottingham, School of Veterinary Medicine and Science, UK)
Dr Mike Varley (SCA Provimi, UK)
Prof Bas Kemp (Wageningen, The Netherlands)
