Brazilian meat exports to Kuwait hits US$160 million in 2005
BRAZIL - Brazil is now the top exporter of meat and poultry to Kuwait exporting nearly US$160 million worth of the product to the state in 2005.
Meat and poultry accounted for about 83.3 percent of Brazilian exports to the country.
Chairman of the visiting trade delegation Michel Aalaby, Secretary General of the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, revealed the figures while addressing the Kuwaiti Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Brazilian exports to Kuwait have tripled from US$59 million in 2002 to US$192 million in 2005, and is expected to exceed US$220 million by the end of this year, he noted.
Aalaby urged Kuwait's businessmen to visit Brazil to enhance trade between the two nations. Aalaby's delegation includes businessmen from the State of Santa Catarina , a production base for meat, poultry, and derivatives and related goods.
