Rick Hoffman, chief executive officer of Missouri-based Triumph, said the company and its board of directors will continue talking about whether a proposed site along Barstow Road in East Moline remains a viable option.

Hoffman said he and his board still are reviewing the situation and he does not know when they might make a final decision.

“We don’t have a timeline on that,” he added.

Word that East Moline is still on Triumph’s radar was well-received by East Moline Mayor John Thodos, who said he has not spoken to anyone from Triumph for three weeks.

Thodos said he understands that “business proceeds at its own pace” and remains optimistic about the project, which would bring an estimated 1,000 new jobs to the Quad-City area.
