The Missouri Pork Institute, which often is referred to as “Pig Camp,” will run from June 12-14 on the MU campus, said Marcia Carlson Shannon, MU associate professor of animal sciences and event coordinator.

“Our goal is to instruct young people in profitable pork production, introduce them to the latest technological developments, focus on potential career opportunities and train them to be leaders in the U.S. pork industry,” Shannon said. “We cover both the production and marketing sides of the industry.”
