Pork industry rejects Productivity Commission report

AUSTRALIA - The pork industry has been told it doesn't need government assistance, or tariffs to be placed on imported pig meat. The Productivity Commission's draft report on the industry sees the drought and high feed prices as the key problems. James Martin has more. "The commission's findings contradict the pork industry's peak council, Australia Pork Limited, which wants import safeguards and a further $40 million in taxpayer assistance.
