Australians buying more fresh pork than chicken: survey

AUSTRALIA - Australians are now buying more fresh pork meals than fresh chicken, a new survey has found. The Roy Morgan survey of fresh meat serve purchases found Australians bought 28.8 million serves of fresh pork in the December quarter. It was a 22.2 per cent increase over the 2002 December quarter. For the first time, more than a fifth of all fresh meat purchases were of pork.
