World Pork Expo Art Show call for entries
IOWA - One of the most unique art shows in the United States is looking for exhibitors.
|
The 15th Annual Pig-CassoTM Art Show will be held during the 2003 World Pork Expo June 5-7 at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines, Iowa.
Amateur and professional artists are invited to display their pig-related work and compete for cash prizes.
"We've held the Pig-CassoTM Art Show at every World Pork Expo and it's proven to be an extremely popular and fun event for both artists and visitors," says Bette Murray, event coordinator with the National Pork Producers Council (NPPC), the sponsor of World Pork Expo. "If pigs are a part of your artwork - whether it's a sculpture, painting or photograph - we'd love to showcase it at Pig-Casso."
Pig-CassoTM is a professional judged art show - not an art fair, craft show or flea market. Work previously exhibited at Pig-CassoTM as well as mold work or kits, will not be accepted. All entries must include a pig and must have been completed within the last two years. An entry fee of $20 ($10 for students 18 or younger) entitles the artist to submit three pieces of art with no more than two entries in the same category. Deadline for entry is May 23.
