More ASF Outbreaks Reported in Russia

RUSSIA - Over the last month, five new outbreaks of African Swine Fever (ASF) have been detected by the Russian Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance service. Almost 36,000 domestic pigs have been culled in addition to four wild boar.

The outbreaks were reported in the west of the country in the Orlovskaya, Voronezhskaya and Kurskaya regions.

In total, 1,140 cases were found on farms, leading to the death of 37,058 pigs, and four cases in wild boar.
