For the latest week – 7 to 14 December 2014 – there were 23 new confirmed positive premises for PEDV and six presumed positive.

For the same period, no premises were confirmed for PDCoV and one presumed positive.

There was one confirmed premise with a dual infection (both PEDV and PDCoV).

The total numbers of confirmed positive premises for the latest week were 573, 25 and 21 for PEDV, PDCoV and the dual infection, respectively.

Since 5 June, for PEDV, there have been 591 confirmed positive premises, 350 presumed positive and 14 previously positive premises that have attained negative status.

For PDCoV, the total for the same period are 27, 26 and two, respectively. For the dual infection, the totals are 21, 26 and one, respectively.

Location of Positive Premises

PEDV

There are currently 33 states with at least one confirmed positive case of PEDV, following the addition of Hawaii in mid-November 2014.

For the current week (7 December), there were 111 PEDV-positive laboratory accessions, bringing the total since 5 June 2014 to 2,217. Minnesota reported 19 of these new cases and Iowa, 15.

Also reporting positive results in this most recent week were California, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Nebraska, New York, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah and Wisconsin.

PDCoV

There are currently 17 states with at least one confirmed positive case of PDCoV.

For the current week (7 December), there were 11 PDCoV-positive laboratory accessions, bringing the total since 5 June 2014 to 220. There were six positive premises in Minnesota, three in Iowa and one each in Illinois and in the category "unknown".
