Four Outbreaks of African Swine Fever in Polish Wild Boar

POLAND - There have been four new outbreaks of African swine fever in eastern Poland, involving a total of 12 wild boar.

The veterinary authority sent Follow Up Report No. 6 dated 11 July to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE).

The report describes a a total of 12 wild boar have tested positive for the African swine fever virus between 24 July and 8 July; all are dead.

All the animals were found in the Podlaskie region in the east of the country, which borders Belarus and where previous cases have been found.
