JOB DESCRIPTION:
 Overall in charge of the piggery operation
 Evaluates the overall monthly/yearly monetary performance of the operation
 Management monitoring in the breeding unit
 Monitoring of the farrowing and nursery unit, feeding and proper care of piglets
 Monitoring of all proper managements implemented in the grower and finisher pigs.
 Programs vaccination schedules to breeders, piglets and grower finishers
 Medication, treatment and supplementation of pigs whenever necessary
 Evaluate and manage quarantine of newly purchase breeder stocks
 Head in charge in the Artificial Insemination
 Monitoring of proper management and correct good AI laboratory technique, semen collection to processing and insemination process
 Evaluates pitfalls in the breeding area and implement proper actions to correct them
 Monitors the AI performance of backyard raisers catered
 Conducts seminars at the local community with the aim of helping the local backyard raisers improve their small scale businesses and for them to be able to gain profit from it
 Contacts prospect buyers of market pigs and schedule date of disposals
 Handles and oversee 25 personnel working in the operation and make them work as a team
 Evaluates and monitors the performance of the feeds from locally milled feeds
 Impose strict biosecurity measures to prevent and eliminate diseases from entering and contaminating the farm operation.
 Attend seminars beneficial to the piggery operation and learn the latest updates regarding new technologies and management procedures that benefits the operation
 Communicate with the owner regarding some important issues and concerns for the improvement of the operation
